Xijing Hospital was formerly the Central Hospital established in Yan'an in 1939. The plastic surgery department of Xijing Hospital of the Fourth Military Medical University was founded in 1955 by Professor Wang Liangneng, a famous plastic surgery expert who is one of the founders of plastic surgery in China. It began to enroll master's degree in 1979, and was approved as a doctoral degree authorized discipline in 1986. It is a discipline composed of post doctoral mobile stations in clinical medicine. At present, the medical technology level and medical scale are in the leading position in the country. At present, there are 25 doctors, including 5 professors (chief physicians); 6 associate professors (associate chief physicians) and 7 attending doctors (lecturers). There are 2 doctoral supervisors and 2 master supervisors. Many doctors study in the United States, Britain and Japan, most of whom have doctorates.
There is a general outpatient clinic and a beauty outpatient clinic in plastic surgery. The beauty outpatient clinic under construction covers an area of more than 1400 square meters, with two wards, 80 specialist beds, an independent professional operating room and 9 operating beds. It is divided into 7 professional groups, including organ reconstruction, wound repair, skin tumor, craniomaxillofacial, scar, breast plastic surgery, and beauty. The annual outpatient volume is more than 40000 cases, and the annual surgical volume is more than 10000 cases (cosmetic surgery accounts for 2/3, and the annual collection capacity is close to 2500 cases. It has imported endoscope, liposuction machine, micro saw, operating microscope, laser beauty instrument, high-frequency beauty instrument and other large-scale medical equipment.
