The Plastic Surgery Department of the (1) Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University is a professional department integrating clinical medicine, teaching and scientific research. It is the doctor of surgery and the master of plastic surgery of Nanjing Medical University. This discipline is one of the professional surgeries that carried out plastic surgery, burn and aesthetic medical services in Z's early years. In the past 50 years, under the leadership of the older generation of experts, such as Yin Liqiao, Bao Pinghan, Zhou Shougui, and under the leadership of the current discipline leader, Dr. Zhang Hongwei, through the joint efforts of all medical personnel, we have established a leading academic position in the province and a well-known academic position in China.
At present, there are 14 doctors with bachelor's degree or above. Among them, there are 2 chief physicians, 6 associate chief physicians, 4 doctors and 2 masters. The members of the department respectively served as the medical cosmetology branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the burn branch of the Chinese Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine Branch, the trauma branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the Jiangsu Plastic and Burn Branch, the director of the Jiangsu Rehabilitation Medical Association, the secretary of the repair and reconstruction branch, the standing committee, the vice chairman of the medical cosmetology branch of the Nanjing Medical Association, the vice chairman of the medical cosmetology branch of the Jiangsu Medical Association Vice chairman and member of the Medical Organization Engineering Transplantation Committee of the Six East China Burn Association and Jiangsu Biomedical Engineering Association.
This discipline is responsible for the organization and guidance of major burn treatment throughout the province, and has conducted in-depth research on rescue and treatment of large area deep burns, catastrophic mass burns and burns of special causes. The improvement of large-scale special burns in the province is in the leading position. In plastic surgery, we have accumulated rich clinical experience in the treatment of various congenital malformations, secondary tissue defects and skin and soft tissue tumors. Complex wounds, refractory wounds and chronic wounds, such as soft tissue defects of the leg and foot, diabetic feet, venous ulcers, etc., have been treated accurately by non operative means characterized by wet technology and wound vacuum sealing technology, combined with surgical methods represented by good perforator flaps. In terms of beauty, various conventional cosmetic operations have their own professional knowledge and have certain influence and popularity.

It has professional camera room, independent outpatient beauty operating room and operation design software system.
The average annual income of the discipline is about 410 cases, and the annual number of patients diagnosed is about 6400. In recent years, he has edited or participated in 8 textbooks and professional argumentations, obtained 3 provincial scientific research achievements, and published more than 100 papers in professional journals at home and abroad.
