Dr. Xu Jianwei was born in Shanghai. He is the chief physician of plastic surgery in Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, director of tissue engineering laboratory, and master's supervisor. From 1999 to 2002, he was a visiting scholar in orthopedics at Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard Medical School, a member of the Society of Tissue Engineering, the Society of Plastic Surgery of the Chinese Medical Association, and the Society of Medical Beauty and Cosmetology of the Chinese Medical Association. He is good at facial contour plastic surgery, breast plastic surgery, obesity comprehensive treatment, hemangioma comprehensive treatment, urogenital reconstruction, anal reconstruction.

Dr. Xu Jianwei studied in the Department of Medicine of Shanghai Medical University from 1983 to 1989. After graduation in 1989, he stayed in Zhongshan Hospital for plastic surgery. He started with famous plastic surgery experts Professor Sun Yilu and Professor Li Guanyu, and served as the chief physician of plastic surgery in May 2006.
