Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a modern comprehensive Grade III Grade A hospital integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching, health care and rehabilitation. Chinese and western medicine has a complete range of clinical disciplines, with distinctive Chinese characteristics and advantages of Chinese and western medicine. The hospital was founded in 1931, and was also called Zhejiang Oriental Hospital after merging with Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone Hospital in 2001. Its full name is Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the First Clinical School of Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Zhejiang Oriental Hospital. It is one of the first provincial and municipal medical insurance designated units in Zhejiang Province.
Through the joint efforts of the staff of the hospital, especially since the beginning of the 21st century, the scale of the hospital has continued to expand. At present, it covers an area of 92 mu and is divided into two hospitals, Hubin and Xiasha. There are 10 medical rooms of 2000 square meters, 1500 approved beds, and the total asset value is 1.239 billion yuan. There are more than 1800 employees, including 685 nurses, 560 doctors, more than 300 senior health technicians, 17 national TCM practitioners and 28 provincial TCM practitioners. The dermatology department of our hospital was established in 1931. In 2001, it was awarded the title of Key Discipline of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in Zhejiang Province, and is the cradle of dermatology in Zhejiang Province. Baiyao film has been successfully transferred to Hangzhou Tiancheng Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and has been produced in large scale. The products are sold all over the country and exported to Southeast Asia.
At present, there are 18 staff members, 3 chief physicians, 5 deputy chief physicians, 7 attending physicians, 2 residents and 1 nurse in charge.
