The Department of Plastic Surgery and Burns of Tianjin No. (1) Central Hospital is one of the burn treatment and plastic surgery medical centers in Tianjin. Founded in the 1960s, it is a professional department for Z's early burn treatment, medical plastic surgery and beauty.

First of all, our city has successfully treated more than 90% of patients with total burn area and third degree burn area, and has always maintained a good national level in rescuing severe burns, especially wound repair, treatment of multiple organ dysfunction, enteral and parenteral nutrition treatment, burn lung injury treatment, and integrated Chinese and western treatment.

Since its establishment, tens of thousands of burn patients have received treatment, and thousands of refresher doctors have been trained throughout the country. In 1958, we successfully treated burn workers (86% of the total area of burns) Ⅲ 69%. For this reason, we won the National Health Red Flag Good Unit.

Our department performed plastic surgery in the early 1980s. It is Z's early research and application of skin and soft tissue expander, especially the application of various flaps. The reconstruction of auricle, breast, finger and other body surface organs, scar treatment and medical cosmetology are more distinctive.

Our department enjoys high academic prestige in China, and has long-term cooperation and exchanges with Mary Hospital in Hong Kong and Uppsla University in Sweden. More than 10 medical papers and 1-2 provincial and municipal scientific research achievements are completed every year. At present, there are 7 chief physicians and 7 deputy chief physicians in the department, and more than 90% of the doctors have master's degrees.
