Beijing Chaoyang Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University was established on February 24, 1958, and is a hospital directly under the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau. It is a Grade III Grade A hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and prevention. It is the Third Clinical School of Capital Medical University, and also a designated medical institution of Beijing Medical Insurance Class A. At the end of 2004, China Railway Construction General Hospital was officially transferred to Beijing and incorporated into our hospital, officially named as Beijing Chaoyang Hospital and Beijing West Hospital. Our hospital is the designated hospital for the 29th Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.
The hospital now has one hospital and two sites (the headquarters and Jingxi Hospital). The total area of the hospital is 102800 square meters (50800 square meters for the headquarters; 210000 square meters (150000 square meters for the headquarters) for the construction area of the west Beijing hospital area; Beijing West Courtyard (60000 square meters). 1910 beds (1410 in the headquarters and 500 in the west Beijing courtyard). Fixed assets are 1719.5 million yuan. There are nearly 3600 employees (2800 in the headquarters and 800 in the West Beijing Yard). The annual number of outpatient and emergency departments is about 2.5 million, the number of inpatients is about 50000, and the number of operations is about 18000.
Established in 1985, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University is one of the largest plastic surgery departments in Beijing. It was interrupted in 1994 and rebuilt in 2002. The department has carried out various plastic surgery projects in detail. Features include: breast plastic surgery (breast augmentation, large breast reduction, breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery, minimally invasive accessory breast correction, minimally invasive male breast development correction), facial plastic surgery (double eyelid, pouch, nose augmentation, wrinkle removal), various rhinoplasty, craniofacial surgery, circumcision (minimally invasive), armpit odor, etc.
At present, the department has undertaken a number of provincial, ministerial and bureau level scientific research projects and the teaching of plastic surgery master of Capital Medical University. In 2009, the (1) China US Human Appearance Summit Forum and (1) China US Advanced Symposium on Plastic Surgery were successfully held, becoming the only branch of the Center for Human Appearance in Taiwan, Senior American plastic surgery experts will regularly go to Beijing Chaoyang Hospital for plastic surgery teaching and surgery, and Fan Jufeng will serve as the director of the center.
