Internship is an important stage to become a professional nurse. I was lucky to practice as an eye nurse in a well-known eye hospital in Guangzhou. During this period, I learned a lot of valuable experience and knowledge. Now I will share my internship experience from four aspects.

During the internship, I first learned a lot of professional knowledge of ophthalmology. Eye nurses need to master the etiology, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. Through observing and participating in the treatment of ophthalmic cases, I had a deep understanding of the manifestations and treatment methods of common eye diseases. For example, the harm and treatment of glaucoma, and the related knowledge of cataract surgery. This kind of study enabled me to have a more comprehensive understanding of ophthalmic nursing and laid a solid foundation for future work.
In addition to professional knowledge, I also learned the routine operation of eye care. For example, routine blood pressure measurement, preliminary diagnosis and nursing of common eye diseases, etc. Proficiency in these operations is crucial to the comprehensive management of ophthalmic nursing.
Communication and nursing with patients
During the internship, I found that good communication with patients is a crucial part of the work of eye nurses. In the process of communicating with patients, I learned to respect their personal privacy and emotions, patiently listen to their reactions and questions, and give them necessary explanations and comfort. Through communication with patients, I can better understand their needs and concerns, and provide them with more detailed and personalized nursing services.
In addition, attention to detail is also very important in eye care. For example, assist patients with eye cleaning and health care to prevent infection; Replace the patient's eye drops in time to avoid dry eyes. Such nursing details can effectively improve the comfort of patients and promote their recovery.
Teamwork and coordination ability
During my internship in Guangzhou Eye Hospital, I deeply realized the importance of teamwork and coordination ability. Ophthalmic nurses need to maintain good communication and cooperation with doctors, other nursing staff and patients' families. Teamwork includes mutual assistance, mutual learning and common problem solving. Only with good teamwork and coordination ability can we better complete the ophthalmic nursing work.
In the process of working with the team, I also learned how to work together. In some busy times, reasonable division of labor can improve work efficiency and reduce the possibility of errors.
