1、 Introduction to craniofacial surgery team
At present, the team has become a leader in clinical diagnosis, treatment and scientific research of craniofacial surgery in China. As a doctoral and master degree program in plastic surgery of Fudan University, the department has applied for 2 patents, demonstrating its strength in scientific research.
Honors and grants:
The team has won three honors and grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one key project of emerging frontier technology of Shanghai Shenkang Hospital Development Center, and one Shanghai Natural Science Foundation. He also published 10 SCI papers, edited 2 monographs, and held 2 international academic conferences.
Main research directions:
The main clinical research directions of the team include early gene screening and diagnosis of congenital craniofacial malformations, improvement of existing reconstruction technologies, and digital application of craniofacial reconstruction systems. The team is also committed to early imaging detection after peripheral facial nerve injury and its correlation with functional prognosis.
In the basic research direction, the team conducted in-depth research on the role of FGFR2 gene mutation in the process of craniosuture closure, and the role of GPC3 in Crouzon syndrome. The function and proteomic analysis of exosomes in osteoblasts, and the role of chemokine receptors in melanoma invasion and metastasis were also discussed.
Introduction of discipline leader:
As the doctoral supervisor of the team, Professor Mu Xiongzheng is the director of the International Society of Craniofacial Surgery and the editorial board member of several well-known journals at home and abroad. His clinical and research work in craniofacial surgery is in the leading position in China, especially in the application of distraction osteogenesis in the treatment of complex craniofacial deformities.
Department features and outpatient information:
The department has special needs such as craniofacial deformities, skin tumors, scars, micro plastic surgery, beauty, bromidrosis, and expert clinics. Plastic surgery clinics are set up in the outpatient and emergency building of the general hospital and the hall of the eastern hospital. The general hospital provides all day outpatient services from Monday to Friday and expert outpatient services on Saturday morning.
