The Plastic Surgery Hospital of Weifang Medical College, located in Shandong Province, is a modern professional institution integrating medical plastic surgery, laser, teaching and scientific research. As the only tertiary specialized plastic surgery hospital in Shandong Province, our hospital has made remarkable achievements in the field of plastic surgery since its inception.
In retrospect, in 1993, our hospital was approved by the institution to become the top master's program of plastic surgery in Shandong Province, and a year later, it was promoted to Shandong Provincial Institute. With unremitting efforts and outstanding achievements, our hospital was rated as a key discipline in Shandong Province in 1995, and became a discipline of strengthening engineering construction in Shandong Province in 2001, demonstrating our outstanding position and influence in the field of plastic surgery.
With advanced technology and equipment, our hospital has introduced more than 20 international leading medical equipment from the United States, Britain, Germany, Italy, etc. The hospital has a team of experts with high academic level and rich clinical experience, including 2 professors, 8 associate professors, 4 doctors, 8 masters, and 1 expert enjoying special national allowance. So far, 110 graduate students have been trained, providing a large number of * * talents for plastic surgery.
In terms of scientific research, our institute has achieved fruitful results. At present, he has undertaken 32 research projects and won 26 scientific and technological progress awards, making outstanding contributions to the academic development of plastic surgery in our province. In the past five years, it has undertaken 20 subjects, including 2 provincial and ministerial key subjects, 5 provincial and ministerial general subjects, and 13 departmental and bureau level subjects. Among the appraisal results, there are 2 that reach the international level and 6 that are leading in China.
Our hospital has also won 7 scientific and technological achievement awards, including 2 second prizes, 1 third prize and 4 department and bureau level scientific and technological progress awards. Many scientific and technological achievements promotion projects have also been launched. We also published more than 80 papers, 8 monographs and 2 textbooks. These achievements fully demonstrate our profound strength and outstanding contributions in the field of plastic surgery.
On the basis of maintaining the stable research direction of repair and reconstruction, tissue engineering, cosmetic surgery, etc., our hospital also actively explores new technical fields, such as computer-assisted facial plastic surgery design, embryonic anti scar gene cloning and transgenic research, and is at the leading level in China.
