The General Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (301 Hospital), founded in 1953, is a large modern comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, health care, teaching and scientific research. The hospital is responsible for the medical and health care tasks of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Central Military Commission, the head of the headquarters and some military officers stationed in Beijing. It is also responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of difficult and critical patients transferred by military regions, services and arms, and receiving and treating patients all over the country.
The hospital is also the PLA Medical College and the only hospital running unit in the whole army.
