        [Price List of the Burn and Plastic Surgery Department of the (1) Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University] The predecessor of burn plastic surgery in our hospital is the surgical burn treatment group. Burn treatment began in 1958 when making steel. In the next 20 years, it has been the only burn treatment specialty in southern Fujian, and even burn patients in western and northern Fujian have come to the first hospital. The treatment team rescued dozens of burn patients in batches, and affected the boiler explosion of Xiamen Refrigeration Plant to burn 4 people; 15 people were burned by hydrogen balloon explosion in Zengcuo'an Village (1974); When Hui'an students came to Xiamen to participate in the construction of the special zone, 25 people were burned (1987).

Established in 1994, burn plastic surgery is the key department of the hospital and the only burn specialty in Xiamen. The burn and plastic surgery department has 15 beds, and there are 16 medical staff at present: 1 deputy chief physician, 2 attending physicians, 3 residents, 4 nurses, and 6 nurses. The department is equipped with ECG monitors, high-frequency ventilators, Doppler blood flow detectors, electric scalpels, external skin expanders, fully equipped critical wards and small operating rooms, which provide guarantee for clinical work.

In the early 1970s, our hospital successfully rescued 89% of burn cases Ⅲ, 64% of the severely burned patients with burn area Ⅲ, and won the Fujian Provincial Science and Technology Achievement Award in 1978. Burn plastic surgery is mainly used to treat various types of burns, including chemical burns and radiation injuries such as burns, flame burns, electric burns, acid and alkali burns, and to treat various types of scars, deformities, and medical cosmetic surgery.

The department has accumulated rich experience in the treatment of burn shock, invasive infection, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, inhalation injury and other critical conditions and the repair of burn wounds. Every year, nearly 200 patients are hospitalized, and the improvement of burns is more than 95%. More than 80% of patients with deep Ⅲ burn were cured successively. In recent years, the Municipal Health Bureau has carried out two clinical studies, namely microparticle skin transplantation and large area burn shock escharectomy, and achieved good results. Since its establishment, the department has published three academic papers in publications at or above the provincial level and participated in four national junior college conferences.

The burn and plastic surgery department is a united group, which shows good team spirit in work. Since its establishment, the department has been rated as a good department or a good medical ethics and medical style by the hospital, and was awarded the collective honorary title of "Bethune Cup" by the Municipal Health Bureau in 1997.
