The Plastic Surgery Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences was established in 1957 and is located in eight places in Shijingshan District. Therefore, it is called the eight plastic surgery hospitals in Beijing by many beauty seekers. It is an early plastic surgery hospital in China. At present, it is also the only Grade III plastic surgery hospital in China. The hospital has 320 beds and has completed more than 40000 plastic operations every year.
The Plastic Surgery Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences was founded in 1957 by Professor Song Ruyao, a famous plastic surgery expert. It is the first plastic surgery hospital established in New China. The hospital is directly under the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College. It is a three-level plastic surgery hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching and scientific research.
At present, there are four of Beijing's eight plastic surgery hospitals, namely, Beijing's eight plastic surgery hospitals (also known as the West Hospital), located in the branch of Xiaozhuang 6th East Hospital in Chaoyang District, the Ping An Clinic, and the Beijing Medical Plastic Surgery Clinic (namely, the International Trade Clinic of the Plastic Surgery Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences).
The eight major plastic surgery hospitals in Beijing are the clinical teaching hospitals of Peking Union Medical College, as well as the training centers for doctors and masters in plastic surgery, anesthesia, biochemistry and molecular biology. Every year, more than 600 doctoral and master students come from all over the country to study here.
