Burn plastic surgery, established in the 1970s, is a key characteristic discipline of the hospital, with 40 beds. Through long-term clinical exploration and experience accumulation, it has formed a professional discipline combining scientific research, teaching, medical plastic surgery and rehabilitation aesthetic treatment. The department leader has served as the deputy director of the burn and plastic surgery committee of the Armed Police Force for 20 consecutive years. The Second and Sixth Academic Conference on Burn and Plastic Surgery of the Armed Police Force was successfully held.
In July 2003, the designated department for cleft lip and palate orthopedic treatment of the "Smile Train" project determined by the China Charity Federation has successfully operated on nearly 700 cleft lip and palate patients. The special activity of "Tomorrow Action" to support poor families has designated special key majors, which has been improved by 100%. In November 2005, it was awarded the "China Charity Award" by the Ministry of Civil Affairs for the Smiling Train Cleft Lip and Palate Correction Project.

The department has strong technical strength. It has cooperated with the Burn Research Institute of Southwest Hospital of the Third Military Medical University, the Burn Research Institute of 304 Hospital of the People's Liberation Army, Xi'an Xijing Plastic Surgery and other hospitals to carry out more than 40 new technologies and new businesses. Among them, "experimental research on the impact of burn scab extract on the body's inflammatory response and immune function" won the second prize of the Armed Police Force for scientific and technological progress, He has published more than 30 academic papers in Chinese professional journals such as Chinese Journal of Burn Surgery and Chinese Journal of Surgery.
The department successfully handled the "9.23" oil depot explosion in Hanyuan in 1989 and the "9.24" oil tank burning in Jiajiang Post and Telecommunications Department in 1993. Many critically burned patients in Ebian on "9.11" in 1999 have accumulated rich experience in treatment, of which 15 cases accounted for 98% and 156 cases accounted for more than 70%. It enjoys a high reputation in the local and southwest Sichuan. Yuan Wenzhou, the deputy director of the department, has successively studied as a graduate student in the Fourth Military Medical University, majoring in plastic surgery, and is a member of the Burn and Plastic Surgery Professional Committee of the Armed Police Force.
In recent years, we have focused on the repair of various skin flaps for high-voltage electric burns, and carried out in detail shock scab, recessive shock, early gastrointestinal nutrition support, intestinal infection, treatment of refractory residual wounds, infant skin transplantation, large-area burn granular skin, allogeneic skin transplantation, cleft lip and palate plastic surgery, breast, giant breast reduction, wrinkles, eyelid, bag, ear nose reconstruction Skin expansion and implantation, skin tube plasty, free skin flap transplantation, axillary odor minimally invasive, skin flap filling of traumatic tissue defects, etc. "Microsurgery" refers to the replantation and functional reconstruction technology of severed fingers, with a comprehensive system treatment level of burns, wound repair, rehabilitation plastic surgery and anti scar beautification. Discipline leader Yu Shun successively studied general surgery, endoscopy, burn plastic surgery and other specialties in the First Affiliated Hospital and the Third Affiliated Hospital of the Third Military Medical University of the PLA. Currently, he is a member of the Professional Committee of Burn and Plastic Surgery of Sichuan Province and a well-known burn expert.
