Double eyelid recovery time

The methods of eyelid surgery are mainly divided into incision, Korean 3 points (fixed-point) and catgut embedding. Different operation methods have different recovery times. First of all, a simple embedding method:

① Suture embedding is to use cosmetic suture to suture the subcutaneous tissue of the skin, tarsal plate and eyelid levator muscle membrane together to produce double eyelids. The catgut embedding method is easy to operate, with small wound and no surgical suture removal. The recovery time of the three surgical methods is also very short, and it will recover naturally within one week.

Any operation has its advantages and disadvantages. The surgical method of embedding thread has a very high standard around the eyes. It is only applicable to young people with thin eyelid skin, no droop, swelling and Mongolian wrinkles around the eyes. As time goes by, the catgut embedding method will be digested and peeled off, usually only keeping the fruit for 5-8 years. Therefore, when the foundation around the eyes is not particularly good, embedding is not recommended.

② The second is the Korean three-point (fixed-point) method:

Compared with wire embedding, the recovery time at 3 points in South Korea is longer, usually between 10 and 30 days, and the time for surgical shaping is longer.

There is no specific maintenance standard after the operation. Pay attention to the taboos. It is strictly forbidden to look at the water on the wound. The eye foundation is good. If there is a slight swelling of the eye, you can choose it. If the eye has droopy skin, you do not need to choose it.

③ Then comes the widely used cutting method:

The incision method is to cut the skin at an appropriate position of the upper eyelid skin, remove local extraocular muscles or orbital septum lipids, and suture the skin, tarsal plate or levator tendon together. It has no standard around the eyes, and is applicable to all eyes that must be changed, especially for the elderly, patients with ptosis of upper eyelid skin and excessive lipid in the orbital septum.

It is suitable for relatively long late recovery. Some people may recover well within 3 months, and some people may recover completely within 6 months. Due to different physical qualities, the late recovery speed, scar hyperplasia and other conditions are different, and the late recovery is generally about 3-6 months. Postoperative intensive maintenance will also affect the recovery of the eyes.

If the foundation around the eyes is particularly good, you can choose the embedding method. Fully recovered within seven days. If the foundation around your eyes is OK, your eyes have slight swelling, and there are no other problems, you can choose the Korean 3:15-30 days to fully recover. If the foundation around your eyes is very weak, you need to choose the incision method and fully recover within 3-6 months.

As mentioned at the beginning, different surgical methods have different recovery in the later stage. No matter which operation method you choose, or you are suggested to go to the hospital to see a doctor before the operation, first select the appropriate operation method, consider the postoperative maintenance, and select a doctor to strengthen the maintenance. I believe that the eyes will recover completely soon after the operation.

Dry goods maintenance skills after double eyelid incision:

1. Postoperative pressure bandaging:

After the operation, the upper eyelid will be covered with cotton yarn, and the doctor will let you press it for 30 minutes to return, which means to prevent bleeding. The next day after the operation, go to the hospital to remove the cotton yarn around the eyes, and do not remove it yourself, because the blood stains and cotton yarn of the wound often stick together, and forced tearing will tear the wound around the eyes.

2. Don't take painkillers rashly:

The wound will hurt a little on the day of operation, but it will gradually ease over time. Patients should not take painkillers rashly, because aspirin will aggravate the bleeding of wounds, and not abusing drugs is the key to common problems in double eyelid surgery.

3. Don't look at the wound before removing the suture:

Apply a special eye cream on the wound once a day with a sterile cotton swab. Wear sunglasses when going out to prevent light from stimulating the wound and prevent scar growth. Patients with open corners of the eye drop eye drops several times a day. When there are metabolites in the corner of the eye, use a sterile cotton swab to dip in the eye liquid, and then slowly smear the metabolites in the corner of the eye.

4. Wound suture removal 5-7 days after operation:

Occasionally, after removing the suture, the wound will leave a small knot. As time goes by, the knots will be ejected or absorbed automatically

5. Pay special attention to the activity of eye muscles:
