The formation of the double eyelid is because part of the levator muscle of the eyelid can penetrate the skin layer, so when the eyes are opened, the orbicularis oculi muscle will pull the skin upward, forming double eyelid folds.

There may be no orbicularis oculi muscle on the outer side of the eyelid, so the double eyelid line will be formed according to inertia. If the cut is too long, its own cut and inertia will form two lines, which will lead to bifurcation problems.

In this case, sometimes we just need to do a small correction, suture a needle at an appropriate position, do an external fixation, continue the eyelid incision as smoothly as possible, so that the two lines overlap.
