3. Is it painful to remove titanium plates after orthognathic surgery?
The anesthetics hurt a little, but only for a few seconds. When the anesthetic works, it will not hurt. You can feel the doctor pulling the titanium plate on the bone with forceps and forceps, unscrew the titanium nail like a screw, and then remove the titanium plate (although you can feel a strong sense of tension, it does not hurt).
The doctor kept asking me whether I was in pain or not. Maybe I was really heartless, so I finished it in about an hour. I never felt pain.
The whole process of local anesthesia surgery was very conscious. You can answer the doctor halfway. After sewing, you can lie in the operating room for ten minutes and then be taken out. You won't get dizzy.

4. How long will you eat after removing the plate?
After returning to the ward, start the instrument detection and bottle hanging. Do not eat within two hours. After two hours, drink a small amount of water to see if there is nausea, and then gradually increase.
In the meantime, I took a pill of ibuprofen to prevent pain when the anesthetic woke up. I really didn't feel anything at night. When the anesthetic wakes up, there is sensation around the chin.
