Psychological Experience of IVF Implantation

In a test tube baby center called XX Hospital in Guangzhou, China, we interviewed several test tube mothers and explored their psychological experience in the process of IVF implantation.
1. Expectation, anxiety and hope
Before IVF implantation, IVF mothers experienced a series of treatment processes, including hormone injection, egg collection, etc. These processes need patience and courage, but the most painful thing is waiting. Test tube mothers said that waiting for the arrival of the whole implantation process, they were both anxious and expectant, and hoped that the baby could be successfully implanted and become a healthy baby.
Waiting and anxiety during this period of time put a lot of pressure on IVF mothers. They live in the uncertainty of pregnancy, always worrying about whether their efforts will succeed and whether there will be a baby. Therefore, on the eve of IVF implantation, IVF mothers are often tortured by psychological pressure.
However, test tube mothers also have hope that their babies can grow up healthily. Their expectations for the future are full of beauty.
2. Changes in body feeling
When IVF babies are implanted, the hormone levels in the body will change, which often leads to some changes in the body feelings of IVF mothers. Test tube mothers said that they had symptoms such as breast pain, nipple sensitivity, abdominal discomfort and frequent urination at this stage.
These changes in body feelings make test tube mothers full of expectations for the success of the bed. They associate these changes with the possibility of pregnancy, and expect these changes to mean that the baby has entered their life.

3. Psychological worries

The persistence and belief of IVF mothers is the most important psychological support for them in the process of IVF implantation, and also the key to their final success.
